Stars Bright Totem

This is "Totie" my 8 year old gelding. He is a big boy....too big for me! So, he is available for sale for the right price. Broke to ride, sound, very strong with a lot of stamina, Indian Shuffler. Love him to ride, but I do not need a horse this big at my age! I also have another young gelding prospect for myself that I will start under saddle this fall. Totie would be a great ranch, endurance or eventing horse.

Yeh, somehow or other it just gets more difficult getting that leg up around your neck to mount up! LOL He stands great for the mounting block though, or anything that will work as such, but still more difficult out on the trails where blocks are hard to find! I love him to death and it will be so hard to part with him, but.......

Yeah the age thing really defines the size of horse doesn't it. I have a 15 yr old gelding you stands almost 16 hands and it's a good thing that he is patient and lets me drag my butt into the saddle. I too bought a step stool to use but the bank of the hill works good too. My new mare is somewhat shorter. When I bought her I thought she's just the perfect size but low and behold she grew since then and I can still manage to get myself up there but if she grows anymore. Also having your best friend grab you by the belt loop and hoist you up into the saddle helps too. I love Totie. I've always loved leopards. Hope you find him a good home.

I love him and would like to know how much for him? I love big horses. My mare is 16.2.

I am asking $4500 CAD for Totie. He will be registered CRHA and IPAA soon (already is ApHCC). He is just over 16 HH but is a big, powerful horse. Sure can travel a long distance in a short time too -at the walk or running walk! Was on a ride recently and a couple of riders tried to keep up by jogging along, but their horses pooped out. Lots of stamina, great brain. Done several horsemanship clinics with him too. I have not actively advertised him yet, still coming to terms with the decision to let him go. We have such an emotional bond that it is extremely difficult.
